PROJECT ASSESSMENT
Measuring the carbon footprint of a project involves quantifying the total greenhouse gas emissions generated throughout its life cycle, from initial planning to completion.
How are projects measured?
Projects are measured using the same ISO and GHG protocol standards as LCA and CFP, unless it’s a project specifically designed for GHG reduction such as a new renewable energy power plant in which case it will be measured using the “The GHG Protocol for Project Accounting” as it is the most comprehensive, policy-neutral accounting tool for quantifying the greenhouse gas benefits of climate change mitigation projects.
